To the streets against deportations, isolation and border violence!
Date: 8 July 2023
Time: 14:00
Place: Theatervorplatz, Kleine Domsfreiheit 3-4, 49074 Osnabrück
What: demonstration (end Theodor-Heuss-Platz/train station)
We are shocked by further escalations of racist border violence. We experience it at militarized external borders where thousands of people are being killed. We experience it in the normalisation of mass deportations, detention camps and the deprivation of rights as part of the tightening of asylum law discussed as the „CEAS reform“. We experience it in the „deportation offensive“ by the German government, in racist murders by cops and in the racist practices of german Foreigners Offices (Ausländerbehörden).
Whether in Foreigners Offices, deportation statistics or in the headlines on mass drownings at the external borders, people are turned into mere numbers on paper, along with their dreams, plans and hopes. They are dehumanised and reduced to the status of an exploitable labour force, a file in a database, a number in the statistics of border deaths. This system is racist to its very core. This makes the public outrage about those who dare to name things as they are all the more bizarre – such as the debates over accusation of racism against the Osnabrück Foreigners Office some month ago.
We do not accept this brutal, dehumanising, racist policies! We oppose the current normalization of right-wing positions just as we oppose the „deportation offensive“, the Foreigners aka Deportation Authorities or the policy of fences and walls! Join us and be there when we take to the streets on Saturday 8th July! We will start at 2pm at at the theater. Bring banners, signs and your friends!
Let’s express our anger and fight together for a good, liberated and self-determined life for all people!
Feel free to contact us if you want to share a speech about your experiences with the Ausländerbehörde at the demonstration! nolager-os@riseup.net
