Since 23 November, there has been a new wave of resistance in Balochistan (Pakistani part). Triggered by the murder of a young man, Balach Muala Baksh by the Pakistani police in Turbat, mass protests have broken out against decades of oppression, enforced disappearances and murders of Baloch people.
The protests gave rise to the long protest march over 1,600 kilometres from Turbat via Quetta to the Pakistani capital Islamabad, where a large protest camp with hundreds of families, activists and relatives of the kidnapped persons has been set up since the arrival of the march. The entire protest is being led by women who are raising their voices against human rights violations, violence and oppression and making loud demands.
At the info event there will also be a small exhibition with some information about Balochistan, food & drinks for a donation. If you can, you are welcome to donate cash on the evening for the women’s movement in Balochistan, which will then be sent directly.
