We want existence! For the right to a future!
Demonstration to the Ausländerbehörde Osnabrück
All people who are living in Germany without German citizenship are dependent on the Ausländerbehörde (Immigration Office). This authority decides on people’s fates and sometimes on people’s lifes! Although it is obligated to the laws concerning foreigners, it often has great discretionary powers. In many cases it decides whether people are allowed to work, whether they are allowed to take language courses, whether they are allowed to move freely, whether they have to fear deportation. It is often very difficult or impossible to contact the foreigners authority and the processing times are disproportionately long. People who have had the right to residency or naturalization since a long time are left in the dark for months and years – often without the opportunity to work, learn the language, or reunite with their family.
In Osnabrück, too, many people are stuck in a vicious circle for years and are dependent on the discretion and arbitrariness of the foreigners authority. In the case of people from Sudan, for example, the Ausländerbehörde demands that they acquire passports that they do not have. Passports can only be applied for at the embassy in Brussels. But there is no legal way to travel there. No travel permit, no passports, no work permit, no language courses, no improvement of the residence situation, no way out of the uncertainty! It has been like this for years!
We say: ENOUGH! We say NO to the unfair treatment, we say NO to arbitrariness and NO to these inhumane conditions! We say loud and clear: WE HAVE A RIGHT TO A FUTURE, WE HAVE A RIGHT TO EXISTANCE!
Join our demonstration on November 3th 2022! We will meet at the theater in Osnabrück at 4:30pm and go from there to the Ausländerbehörde! Let’s fight together for a good life for all people!
Feel free to contact us if you want to share a speech about your experiences with the Ausländerbehörde at the demonstration! nolager-os@riseup.net Weiterlesen →
