Herr Minister Pistorius,
mit der Einführung der neuen Regulation zum Abschiebeverfahren (Regelung des Rückführungserlasses [1]) erklären Sie es wieder für zulässig Menschen ohne Ankündigung abzuschieben. Wir erklären es immer für unzulässig Menschen überhaupt abzuschieben. Die letzten Jahre lobten Sie hingegen Ihre Abschiebepolitik als human, wie z.B. letztes Jahr am 23.09.2014, als Sie erklärten: „[…]  Abschiebungen sollen teils auch mehrfach angekündigt werden und es sollen, soweit es möglich ist, nächtliche Abschiebungen vermieden werden“ [2]. Nicht nur, dass es auch bisher, trotz all der warmen Worte, weiter nächtliche Abschiebungen gab, nein, nun kehren Sie auch offiziell zurück zu einer inhumanen und verheerenden Asylpolitik. Halten Sie Ihre Asylpolitik immer noch für human, wenn ab jetzt wieder Menschen nachts um 2 Uhr, ohne Ankündigung aus den Betten geklingelt werden, um sie in zum Teil unhaltbare Zustände ‚zurückzuführen‘?
Wir halten dieses Vorgehen nicht nur für inhuman, sondern für schlicht weg unerträglich! Was für Sie vor kurzem noch Kern einer ‚erfolgreichen‘ Asylpolitik war, ist für Sie heute zu vernachlässigen? Sie argumentieren damit, dass so Geflüchtete aus den  Balkanstaaten schneller wieder abgeschoben werden können. Ob Menschen aus Angst vor Krieg und Folter, vor Armut oder Hunger fliehen spielt keine Rolle; Jede*r hat das Recht davor geschützt zu werden. Wir sind der Meinung, dass weder Herkunft, noch die aktuellen Konjunkturen der Abschiebepolitik etwas daran ändert, wie mit Menschen umgegangen werden sollte! Eine humane Asylpolitik geht gerade jetzt – wo sich tausende Menschen in Deutschland mit Geflüchteten solidarisch zeigen und ihre Hilfe anbieten, gerade jetzt, wo es rassistische Ausschreitungen gegen Geflüchtete gibt, gerade jetzt, wo es ein Zeichen braucht, dass Menschen hier willkommen sind – in eine andere Richtung. Jetzt wäre es an der Zeit ein Zeichen gegen Abschiebung, Ausgrenzung und Abschottung zu setzen, indem die Solidarität der Menschen in Deutschland gefördert wird um eine denzentrale Unterbringung von allen Geflüchteten in Deutschland zu ermöglichen. Minister Pistorius,
by establishing the new regulation for the procedure of deportation (Regelung des Rückführungserlasses [1]) you readmit that people can be deported without an announcement. We declare it as ineligible to deport them at all. In the last years, on the contrary, you complimented your deportation policy as humane, for example last year, on 23rd August 2014, when you stated: “ […] Deportations shall be announced at least once if not several times and as far as possible deportations at night-time shall be prevented“ [2]. Not only, despite all the warm words, did deportations still take place at night, you now also officially return to an inhumane and disastrous asylum policy. Do you still consider your asylum policy as humane when , from now on, people get rang out of bed without announcement at 2 am in the morning to be replaced into partly unbearable living conditions?
We consider this approach not only as inhumane but also as completely insupportable! Do you deem the central point of your „successful“ asylum procedure insignificant now? You argue that refugees from the Balkan States can now be deported faster. But whether people flee due to fear of war and torture, or from poverty and hunger- everybody has the right to be protected. In our opinion neither origin nor the current activity in deportation politics change the way human beings should be treated! Especially in the current situation, when thousands of people in Germany show solidarity and offer their help, when we face racist excesses against refugees, when a sign is needed that people are welcome here – a humane asylum policy heads for a different direction. Now would be the time to set an example against inhumane conditions of deportation, separation and exclusion and to promote the solidarity of people in Germany to make it possible to provide a decentralised accommodation of all refugees in Germany. Refugees welcome!

Solidarity with All Refugees – Against the Racist Reality!

Friday 4th September, 17:30h, at the DGB-House (August-Bebel-Platz 1, next to maintrainstation Osnabrück)

Every day there is new news about fire-bombings of refugee shelters – the wave of racist attacks peaked in the last few days. The first half of this year saw the same amount of racist assaults as in the whole of 2014.

At one of the shelters in Heidenau, a rabble of Nazis and so-called „concerned citizens“ went on the rampage for 2 days, hardly interrupted by the authorities.

Refugees are afraid to walk the streets. Because of the ongoing danger, they can only take care of their barest necessities. This isn’t a purely east german phenomena, racist attacks also commonly happen in Bavaria, Northrhine-Westfalia, Baden-Württemberg or Lower Saxony. Meanwhile in the Osnabruck area, in Bramsche-Hesepe, a dangerous undercurrent starts to develop in the people’s minds. While racist atrocities or mass gatherings haven’t happened here yet, the momentary situation gives cause for alarm.

It has to be said about the public posturing of the media and the policy-makers, that over the years their atonement of racist attitudes and their sympathy for so-called fears and daily rabble-raising watered the ground for racists und patriots. Those who use terms like „economic refugees“, “refugee flood“ or the fabled „immigration for social welfare“ have consciously worked to produce a racist atmosphere.

However, no racist mob is necessary for the mass killings of refugees. Simply dividing refugees into the economically „needed“ and „un-needed“ brings on the death of many thousands. Toughening asylum laws makes it possible to fling just about every refugee into jail. The policy-makers are working on even more restrictions of refugees‘ rights.

Crowding refugees in mass accomodations, like in Bramsche-Hesepe, is also inhuman. This mix of state-run racism and rabble-raising citizens must be stopped!

Racist attacks need a response.
